Mississippi Hunters caught record-breaking 727lb Alligator
Hunter Dustin Bockman looks as if he needs a bigger boat for the gigantic Alligator he caught.
The said hunter just opened the season for hunting in Mississippi with amazing fashion after landing this record-breaking 330kg (727lb) beast.
He grabbed the record for the state’s heaviest male alligator, which measured over 13ft long, confirmed by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
The 27 year-old hunting team spotted the said Alligator in the Mississippi River and trailed it for two hours before getting close enough to spear it.
It took another two hours for them to hook it with a second line and noose its neck, then another two hours to hoist the gator on the boat.
Reinforcements arrived not before Bockman received a text from his worried girlfriend checking he was OK.
‘Tired, hungry, we’d been pulling on a 700lb gator for four hours, and we really needed a nap at that point,’ he told Gulf Live.
‘We’re going to cook it for sure. There’s plenty for me and everybody else.’
His girlfriend Amy Parsons added: ‘I was afraid. I hadn’t heard from him all night and he hadn’t come home.
Great thing this is Mississippi's first year has allowed the event to take place statewide to run lottery for alligator hunting licenses.
